Some say "Luck" follows the very basic mathematical rule of Probability. Some say Luck is a phenomenon. Luck pretty much breaks the end result of an event into favorable and unfavorable. Luck is simply how often those favorable final results happen to you.
There was a huge debate on Reddit about "Luck" a few years back and one Redittor concluded the debate with a definition that was accepted by most of the users. He said "Luck: A purposeless, unpredictable and uncontrollable force that shapes events favorably or unfavorably for an individual, group, or cause." which absolutely makes sense but I beg to differ on this.
I personally believe that "Luck" has something to do with Karma. Good karma gives you good fortunes. It is as simple as that. Having said that, there is no luck in life without hard work as well.
